DIGITAL MELTING POINT APPARATUS

Digital Melting Point Apparatus : is a compact instrument for accurate determination of melting points of solid samples. the unit consist of a builtin magnetic stirrer, an electronic control for adjusting the rate of heating of silicon bath, an on/off switch, a pilot lamp, magnifier, glass free illuminated background, a high/low range selector switch a digital temperature indicator with pt-100 sensor. the silicon oil bath consists of plain cylindrical container of corning glass heaving cap. about 200ml. the range of the app. is from 2d c above room temp, upto 300d c with readability 1d c. the app. is supplied with 175ml. silicon oil for use upto 300d c and a box of capillaries. it can also be used for determination of boiling points, flow points & molecular weight by rast’s method with special tubes, not supplied with the inst.
